About me

Who am I?

My name is Daniëlle Vos. I have enjoyed working in my practice in Amsterdam for a number of years. I worked as a nurse for a long time, but after a difficult period in my life, I started a 4-year course in Psychology. I wanted to do something with what I am good at. From my own experience I know what helps and is necessary to learn and break patterns. That making contact with your feelings and learning to express your feelings to your partner, children or friends is important. From there learn to set and maintain boundaries. Also that trauma or damage from your past does not have to determine your entire life, but that you can heal by, among other things, working body-oriented with for example brainspotting.

Through awareness you can learn to bend patterns. However, if you get triggered into old pain, the survival patterns of flight, fight, freeze often take over. Which can be frustrating and make you feel like you're never going to be able to change your behavior.

Brainspotting is a completely different way of processing than talking and rational understanding. It's body oriented. It's about what you feel in your body.

I have now followed the Phase 1 and 2 training sessions of Brainspotting and an Intensive of 5 days where you learn various techniques. I see the positive results it brings to people. It is now also my personal experience.

Besides brainspotting, I also give individual and couple therapy. For more information see my website:
